Guest House Gem – King William IV Settle June 20, 2010

Filed under: The Hotels — helenjbillingham @ 5:16 pm

This is a real find. King William IV Guest House on the High Street in Settle is a fantastic B&B. I was going to treat myself to the Luxury Loft Apartment, but it turned out not to be ready, and instead we booked into the Black Sheep Room. (All their rooms are named after Yorkshire Ales – has to be a good sign).

It is just £5 more than last night at £70 a night. The room is really stylishly decorated, with a great shower, nice toiletries and fresh coffee and milk. It was by far the most comfortable duvet on all our travels – could have stayed in bed all morning.

There are not many things that make me smile in the morning, but a bowl full off fresh berries and freshly squeezed orange juice are two things that do. Breakfast here was lovely. Choice of full english or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. We both went for the latter. Scrummy. Highly recommended.
